This was a bit too much fun to work on. I just had to mention how much I enjoyed it.I was lucky enough to read the book before it came out and assisted with its development. Let me tell you, Hammond has a great eye for both comedy and thrills. The absurdism of the situation soon gives way to real fear and real threats.
I have to say, I LOVE the fact that the author did his research. He got all the little details right, and while the action and plot are great, those details really make the book.
The only thing I didn't like is the ending, which made me sad, but it was very fitting.
I definitely recommend this one; it's a great winter read and the perfect antidote to one too many viewings of March of the Penguins.

I am glad for a syfy story that does not have all the mechanical crap.. when id the next book coming out ?
The author is great storyteller. This is an excellent book. The characters are well written. It's the second book in a series. Can't wait for the next one to come out!

Couldn't be a better story. Love the characters both human and penguins. A truly awesome imaginative plot line! A definite must read for any fantasy reader!!
